CSS Is Back on the Desk

I tried bodypump for the first time this week and spent the entire class regretting it. The moment it ended, I was very pleased I’d gone.

I came back from Christmas with energy instead of dread, and dry January is holding. The people around me have split into the usual camps. Some are still in holiday mode. Others came out sprinting, as if the whole year gets graded on its first Monday. For once I’ve landed somewhere sensible in between.

Work picked up fast. I met clients and closed some of the first deals of the year.

The surprise is that I’ve started studying again, and I didn’t have to bully myself into it. First CSS with Josh Comeau, then MPC and threshold signatures for protecting crypto assets beyond smart wallets. The 1kx piece on wallets has been sitting open next to the CSS tabs, which makes for an odd-looking browser.

None of this counts as an achievement after seven days. What I want to remember is smaller: CSS has moved off the guilt pile and back onto the desk.
